While life is getting harder…
configuring SCL files for IEC 61850 IEDs is not,

thanks to the release of our new, user-friendly tool:

We have developed iConfICD to provide engineers with an intuitive and independent environment for the generation and modification of fully compliant ICD and CID files.

For this purpose, our state-of-the-art tool combines a powerful interface for the creation of clean and compliant data models (using any of the standard’s logical nodes), with an intelligent XML editor, which allows to modify SCL files line by line and validate them according to IEC 61850 ed. 2.

Other features include:

  • buffered/unbuffered MMS and GOOSE reports with freely modifiable parameters, such as trigger options
  • simple and free definition of communication data, attributes and services
  • drag & drop signals to create datasets
  • use of any standard command formats (direct-with-normal-security, sbo-with-enhanced-security etc.)

The “plain view” tab allows to view and manage signals corresponding
to the selected data objects, logical nodes or logical devices
