iGrid is leading the Estorelot project on the RIS3CAT Energy Community

The Euro­pean Union has devel­oped the RIS3 (Research and Inno­va­tion Strate­gies for Smart Spe­cial­i­sa­tion) pro­gram, fund­ing the cre­ation of region­al com­mu­ni­ties spe­cial­ized in Smart Tech­nolo­gies. This pro­gram has been imple­ment­ed in Cat­alo­nia by Acció, the local devel­op­ment agency, with the name of RIS3CAT, and includes the Ener­gy com­mu­ni­ty, lead­ed by IREC (Ener­gy Research Insti­tute of Catalonia).

iGrid T&D leads one of the sev­en select­ed projects by the RIS3CAT Ener­gy Com­mu­ni­ty, Estorelot work­ing on the devel­op­ment of new tools for inte­grat­ing stor­age tech­nolo­gies inside the renew­able plants.

Also is a mem­ber of the NAen­CAT project, lead­ed by Ende­sa Dis­tribu­ción (Span­ish DSO owned by Enel).
